The school was supposed to be built all in one floor, but the builder accidently built it side ways. So when Louis delivered the package
Mrs Jewels the class teacher opened it. The thing that was in the box was a computer. Now, the teacher was trying to teach the class about gravity, by using a pencil and throwing it out the window. Mrs Jewels was glad she took it out and threw it out the window. She said that that was an amazing example of gravity, the kids finally understood gravity.

This book is about how Mrs Jewels is expecting a baby very soon and she has to go to the hospital. So the class on the thirtieth story get different substitute teachers, one of them was a son of Mrs Gorf! He had three nostrils the third one can suck voices, the second substitute was a teacher of Louis, he said that she was so horrible if you don't do something correctly she would put a rubbish bin over your head and wont let you take it off until the end of the day and the last substitute had an extra ear on her head, that ear could listen to what people were saying in their minds. Louis the yard teacher had a secret crush on her actually it wasn't much of a secret the children knew the whole story. So when the children said to ask her out he did and she said yes. Before she said yes however she had to tell him about her extra ear. Louis didn't mind a bit.

This book was about how the Baudelaire orphans got sent to a place called Dark Avenue. The reason why they called it that was because well, darkness was in and light was out. As they drew closer to their new home they met a doorman who always did as his orders were told. As they got closer to their new house they looked up. There right above them was the longest stack of stairs they have ever seen!! To make things worse their new guardians lived in the penthouse!
